The biennial Wallace National Piano Competition is a premiere platform for tomorrow’s musicians. Bringing together 16 of New Zealand’s best young pianists, celebrated Australian pianist Piers Lane AO will select four Grand Finalists to compete for prizes totalling over $20,000. This competition has inspired, surprised and delighted music enthusiasts since 2013, and has successfully launched careers of Kiwi artists including 2013 winner and Steinway Artist, Jason Bae.

16 July - 10am - Adjudicator's Masterclass - Piers Lane AO will conduct a masterclass for pianists who do not reach the Grand Final

GRAND FINAL

Four finalists to perform a 45 minute programme each competing for prizes totalling $20,000.
An Awards Ceremony will follow - 6.45pm
