CATHERINE CHANG, 18

Catherine Chang is a second-year student at The University of Auckland, majoring in Classical Performance under Richard Liu. She began piano lessons at the age of six, and since then, has competed in and won many accolades in piano competitions all across New Zealand.

Catherine is also very fortunate to have received lessons and masterclasses from Dr. Rae de Lisle, Bryan Sayer, Olli Mustonen (APO Inspire Partnership Programme), Natalia Ricci, Nigel Clayton, Niel Immelman, Ian Jones, Gillian Bibby and Tom McGrath. She is an APO Haydn Staples Piano Scholar for 2022.

Catherine expresses her immense gratitude and appreciation to all who have supported her on her musical journey thus far.
