NATIONAL JUNIOR PIANO COMPETITION 2020

The biennial National Junior Piano Competition gives New Zealand pre-tertiary pianists the opportunity to compete for prizes totalling over $4000.  Competitors perform a 20 minute recital programme of their choice.  At least three musical periods must be included.

Six competitors are selected by the adjudicators to compete in the Competition Final with results announced and prizes presented following the Sunday recital.

The International Piano Festival (WIPF) presents recitals from international concert pianists, piano masterclasses and workshops, as well as the National Junior Piano Competition (WNJPC), open to pre-tertiary students around New Zealand.
The Festival is aimed at young pianists and piano enthusiasts on a national level, a "camp-style" environment at The University of Auckland's, School of Music.

An exciting four day event for lovers of piano music!
