COVID PROCEDURES:
To allow us to proceed safely, we ask for everyone’s understanding and assistance. We will be observing capacity and other hygiene and suppression tactics in line with government and venues policies in an effort to keep our musicians, staff and audience members safe.

Contact Tracing
Performers, staff and audience members will be encouraged to carry out their own record keeping by signing in using the NZ Government COVID Tracer App.  The QR code will be displayed at entrances to all the venues.

My Vaccine Pass
It is mandatory for anyone over the age of 12 years and three months to present a valid My Vaccine Pass to enter any of the event sites: Lewis Eady Showroom, Chiron Rock School, Hanene Pavillion, and Diocesan School for Girls.

All ticket holders will be asked to assign their name and contact number to each ticket for contact tracing purposes.

All performers, staff and volunteers will provide Competition management with their My Vaccine Pass prior to the event.

Health of musicians and public
Pre-event and induction briefings will include information for all performers, staff and volunteers, reminding everyone about washing their hands, coughing and sneezing into their elbow and sanitising their hands. Ministry of Health posters will be displayed with this messaging and hand sanitiser will be available throughout the venue.

Everyone involved will be reminded to stay at home if they are unwell. This will be included in pre-event information for staff, volunteers, suppliers, performers and audience members.

Any incidents will be recorded, including cases of people feeling unwell. If anyone presents at the event with COVID-19 symptoms, they will be asked to leave the space and contact the Ministry of Health or their GP by phone. The Competition will then contact Ministry of Health to inform them and follow their instructions.

Mask Wearing
Mask wearing is required for all people aged 8 years and over at the event. String Competition competitors will wear masks back stage and entry/exit to stage but not whilst performing,

Isolation
If an exposure event happens at the Competition – the Competition management will follow all reasonable instructions from the Ministry of Health regarding the processes.  Ticketing data on who attended the event will be recorded through the scanning apps used and passed on to the Ministry of Health to help with contact tracing.  If the event needs to be cancelled to allow for isolation – this will be communicated to all workers, ticket holders and public through email, social media and any other communication tools which do not require face to face interaction.

Physical Distancing
Performers and staff members will be briefed to maintain their physical distance from others.  Audience attending will be seated in with physical distancing in mind, spaces in between seats will allow for at least a 1 metre distance between groups.

Performers/staff and audience will use separate toilets.

It is important to note that at any time Auckland and/or New Zealand could move into a different alert level/traffic light colour, or the government could put different restrictions on gathering numbers should an outbreak occur.  This Competitions are committed to staying up to date with the latest information from the Government and Ministry of Health and will adjust plans when required to meet those restrictions or guidelines. Consultation will be sought if further professional advice is required.
